This is an epic trip in aid of charity and adventure

The Beer Terrace

The Beer Terrace

The safety rail around the beer terrace is made from recycling the metal hand rails from within the bus. Plastic waste pipe is fitted over these which forms a 'Thai Dive Boat' like structure that will support a canopy to keep out the sun when we are in the African Desert.

Another view of the seating upstairs around the table. Just need a bunch of flowers now or a candelabra.

The Beer Terrace.

The final look of the beer terrace complete with contrasting orange cushions with grey painted storage bins underneath to store some of the sports equipment we are taking to Addis Ababa. The two spare wheels we are taking are hidden under a circular disc cut out from two spare blackboards. Underneath the table top is a fire extinguisher in case of emergencies. The two wheels had to be hauled up over the side - getting them off will be much easier I think!

The Music System

The Music System

The foreman makes it outside then? Then speakers cunningly disguised into the toilet wall. They are wired into the radio/CD/iPod down stairs next to the driver. We have the ability to switch each set of speakers on/off depending where we are on the bus. Brilliant idea!

The Lounge

The Lounge

The foreman checking out the lounge upstairs. The comfy cushions are clearly working here and he can't wait to get onto the beer terrace to check that out! The matching soft furnishings and curtains are an amazing feat of workmanship and patience from Lucy - The Minister of Food and Nutrition, Hanging Wardrobes etc etc.

The Chief Bus Conductor.......

The Chief Bus Conductor.......

.......finally gets his way. Standing on the topless bus looking forward over the blue roof.

The Chief Grinders

The Chief Grinders

The Chief Grinders full of power!

The Grinding Team

The Grinding Team

Lucy tried to get in on the act but we couldn't find a grinder big enough!

The Chief Bus Conductor.......

The Chief Bus Conductor.......

........trys to steal the grinder but we've seen his handy work before so he is prevented from turning the bus into a mini-van!
